Istanbul…more snow.

Istanbul…more snow.

Detail of The Yeni (New) Mosque‎

Today was bitterly cold. A constant snow fall, all day long. I was a little disappointed in the amount of good images I came home with today. But we met some really nice people. I found an amazing pipe shop and used it as an excuse to get out of the cold for a few hours. Honestly, the Grand Bazaar was a big let down. Way to touristy and fill with junk and most that was fake. If you ever visit this lovely city, and I hope you do, give the Grand Bazaar a miss and use your time in other places.

Tomorrow we leave for Iraq, if the snow stops and we can fly. Depending on the security issues of the NGOs we will be visiting, I hope to keep you posted.  So keep checking back.

The bitter cold streets of Istanbul.

Lovely images from Istanbul over the last three days, Matt. I wish I was there. Bet you're feeling the cold though? Have a safe and productive trip.
