Radha Gopinath Krishna Temple

Radha Gopinath Krishna Temple

Jaipur-12

Today we walked through the Chand Pol (main market) of Jaipur. We had not gone very far when I heard the sounds of women singing. Following the sounds I found the rhythmic chanting emanating from the Radha Gopinath Krishna Temple. Once inside the temple I saw a large group of women singing devotional song to Radha Gopinath, one of the many names for the Hindu god Krishna. It wasn’t long before one of the women got up and started dancing and twirling to the music. Her name was Manju Sethi. Manju was soon completely entranced with the rhythm and sounds of worship.
